LAS VEGAS (AP) - Steve Logan scored 18 of his 29 points in the first half as No. 25 Cincinnati beat Purdue 79-62 Saturday night in the championship game of the Las Vegas Classic.
The Bearcats (11-1) won by making 50 percent of their shots as well as half of their 3-point attempts. Logan, a senior guard, was 10-of-15 from the floor, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range.
Jamal Davis added 15 points and Immanuel McElroy had 10 points and nine rebounds to help Cincinnati to its 10th straight victory.
Willie Deane led Purdue (7-6) with 23 points. John Allison had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Dametreis Kilgore added 11 points for the Boilermakers, who made only 44 percent of their shots.
Cincinnati built a 22-point lead midway through the second half, but the Boilermakers cut it to 12 with 3:39 remaining.
However, Little scored from close range and tournament MVP Logan hit a jumper to extend the lead to 73-57 with 2:53 to play.
The Bearcats led 44-28 at the half on the strength of 64- percent shooting (16-of-25).
Deane scored 16 of Purdue's first 20 points.
