INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Ramod Marshall scored 21 points and Keith Waleskowski added 16 as Dayton beat Purdue 83-72 on Saturday.
The Flyers (5-3) hit their first seven shots of the game and nine of the first 10 as they raced out to a 19-6 lead. They never let up, dominating the Boilermakers by shutting down their big men.
Dayton stretched a 46-34 halftime lead to a 20-point edge only five minutes into the second half.
Waleskowski hit a short jumper and Marshall converted a 3-point play with 5:26 remaining as Dayton took its biggest lead, 77-54.
Waleskowski added eight rebounds, Brooks Hall had 11 points and nine rebounds and David Morris scored 10.
Willie Deane, who kept the Boilermakers (5-4) within striking distance in the first half with 14 points, made two 3-pointers during an 11-0 run that brought them within 13. Deane added another 3 with 2:11 to go, making it 79-67.

Purdue received little production from its big men. Center John Allison scored three points and forward Rodney Smith was held scoreless on 0-for-7 shooting. Both players had been averaging double digits.
The Boilermakers trailed 23-20 midway through the first half, but a 3-pointer by Hall capped a 15-3 run that put the Flyers comfortably ahead.
