WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue volleyball team picked up a 30-20, 25-30, 30-18, 30-15 win over Indiana State on Tuesday in the IAF. The Boilermakers improve to 4-19, while the Sycamores drop to 13-14.
Serving was a key factor in Purdue's success. The Boilermakers recorded 17 service aces, while Indiana State recorded 10 service errors. Sophomores Jen Bova and Joanna Lowry paced the team with four apiece. Senior Maegan Petersen recorded a team-high 13 kills. Sophomore Eryn Leach, Lowry and rookie Leah Wischmeier all turned in 12. Both Lowry and Petersen recorded double-doubles with 12 and 10 digs, respectively.
The Boilermakers will return to conference action this weekend on the road when they face Iowa and Minnesota.
