WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue volleyball team was defeated by No. 11 Penn State 24-30, 20-30, 23-30 on Friday. The Boilermakers fall to 3-18 (1-12 Big Ten), while the Nittany Lions improve to 17-5 (10-4 Big Ten).
"We have been watching Penn State all season and we match up fairly well," head coach Jeff Hulsmeyer said. "I thought we played hard and if we would have played consistently throughout, the outcome may have been different. Tomorrow is another day and Ohio State is going to be another great team ahead of us."
The Boilermakers will play Ohio State at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
