Men's Golf In 11th Place After Second Day Of Long Cove Invitational

HILTON HEAD, S.C - The Purdue men's golf team is tied for 11th place after two rounds of the Long Cove Invitational in Hilton Head, S.C.

The Boilermakers fired a second-round 305 on Saturday after shooting a 293 in the first round.

"We played poorly today," said associate head coach Andrew Sapp. "We need to try and move up the ladder tomorrow and put together a good round to try to get back in the mix of things."

Senior Lee Williamson led the Boilermakers on the day. He fired a second-round 73 and is in 10th place at two-over par. Juniors Chris Mayson and Peter Karmis carded a 76 and 77 respectively. Mayson is seven over and in 30th place while Karmis is in 45th place at ten-over par. Sophomore Shiv Kapur is 11-over par and in 53rd place. Jason Bukowski is 17 over par after two rounds and in 67th place individually.

The final 18-hole round will begin on Sunday morning.
