WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Dan Swan and Scott Mayer gained entrance into the doubles main draw of ITA All-American Championships today in Stone Mountain, Ga.

Swan and Mayer, the 28th-ranked team in the nation, defeated Georgia Tech's Oleg Novinkov and Fabio Campos 8-4.

The Boilermaker pair advanced to the third round of qualifying after receiving a first-round bye and winning their second-round match following a withdrawal by Mississippi's Alex Hartman and Patrick Chucri.

"We are thrilled for Dan and Scott to be in the main draw," Purdue assistant coach Derek Myers said. "But while we're really happy, these guys want to prove that they belong there and that they can compete at this level. We're looking forward to seeing what happens on Thursday."

Swan and Mayer will open play in the main draw on Oct. 11. Competition will last through Sunday, Oct. 14.
