Purdue Represented At ITA All-American Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Sophomore Gretchen Haynor and junior Melissa Iqbal represent Purdue women's tennis at the ITA All-American Championships at UCLA.

Haynor defeated Northern Arizona's Yvonne DeWaal, 6-2, 6-2 in the first round of prequalifying singles. Haynor fell to UCLA's Petya Marinova, 7-5, 6-2 in the second round of singles.

Iqbal crushed Fresno State's Courtney Jantz, 6-0, 6-2 in the first round of singles matches. In the second round, Iqbal lost a heartbreaker to Texas A&M's Majorie Terburgh, (7-5, 7-5).

Haynor and Iqbal played together in the first round of prequalifying doubles and fell to Arizona's pair of Midklar and Diaz, (8-1).
