Men's Golf Finishes Seventh In The Nelson

STANFORD, Calif. - The Purdue men's golf team finished in seventh place in The Nelson golf tournament in Stanford, Calif. on Sunday. The Boilermakers fired a final-round 291 and finished seven over par overall. The winner, Washington, concluded the tournament 13 under.

Purdue senior Lee Williamson finished tied for seventh. Williamson carded a 72 on Sunday and finished three under par for the event. Junior Peter Karmis shot an even-par, final-round 71 to finish tied for 19th at one under. Junior Chris Mayson fired a 74 and finished tied for 31st place. Senior Jason Bukowski finished tied for 48th place after firing a final-round 74. Freshman Dustin Cone finished tied for 72nd after carding a final-round 75.

The Boilermakers are in action again on Nov. 9-11 when they head to Hilton Head, S.C. for the Long Cove Invitational.
