State College, Pa. - The Purdue volleyball team fell 26-30, 16-30, 23-30 to No. 6 Penn State on the road Saturday. With the loss, the Boilermakers fall to 1-9 (1-3 Big Ten), while the Lions improve to 9-2 (3-1 Big Ten).
Senior Maegan Petersen, sophomore Eryn Leach and rookie Lyndsey Phillips all led the Boilermakers with eight kills each. Penn State's Nadia Edwards paced both teams with 15 kills.
The Boilermakers will return home next weekend to face Michigan and Michigan State.
