The Purdue women's golf team is tied for sixth place after three rounds of the Big Ten Championships at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn. The tournament concludes tomorrow with the final round.
Purdue has a three-round total 930 after firing a 319 for the third round. Freshman Beth Hermes led the Boilermakers in day two with a 79. She is tied for 25th place with a score of 237 after three rounds of play. Kari Damron leads the Boilermakers, tied for seventh overall, with a three-round total of 229. Andrea Makauskas is tied for 20th with a score of 234.
"We faced some tough, windy conditions in the second day, and didn't handle the conditions they way we would've liked," head coach Devon Brouse said. "We just have to come out focused and try to make a move tomorrow in the final day."
Heather Zielinski is in 24th place with a three-round total of 235. Caroline Laurens is in 37th place with a score of 240, while Christy Rittenhouse is in 63rd place with a score of 261.
