Women's Basketball Knocks Off No. 25 Boston College, 73-61

BOSTON (AP) - Katie Douglas scored 18 points and Camille Cooper added 14 Sunday as No. 6 Purdue beat No. 25 Boston College 73-61.

Shalicia Hurns had 10 points and nine rebounds for Purdue (7-1). Becky Gottstein led Boston College (3-2) with 16 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, and Nicole Conway scored 10 off the bench.

The Boilermakers trailed 17-11 with 12:52 remaining in the The Boilermakers opened the second half with an 8-0 run and increased their lead to 44-32 when Douglas made her second consecutive jumper with 16:46 left.

Conway's 3-pointer with 13:47 left triggered a 7-0 Boston College run that cut the Purdue lead to 48-43 with 12:10 remaining. The Eagles cut it to 50-48 on Danielle O'Banion's 3-pointer with 10:26 left.

But the Boilermakers answered again, this time with a 9-2 run capped by Cooper's jumper with 6:48 left for a 59-50 lead.
