Women's Cross Country Finishes Ninth At Big Tens

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue women's cross country team placed ninth at the Big Ten Cross Country Championships Sunday in Madison, Wis. The Badgers won the title with a score of 34.

"Our injuries just became too much for us today," Boilermaker head coach Ben Paolillo said. "We'll do our best to get back on the horse and try again for regional action next week."

Senior Ann Stechschulte finished 18th in the field of 93 with a time of 17:57 to be Purdue's top finisher. Sophomore Teresa Kamleiter was unable to compete due to injury.
