WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's cross country team finished sixth at Michigan on Sunday with a score of 156. Texas won the race with 77 points, while Michigan edged the Old Gold and Black for fifth with a score of 121.
Donnie Fellows finished third overall at the meet. His finish helped the Boilermakers defeat LaSalle (167), New Hampshire (195), Florida (197), James Madison (213), Tennessee (218) and Pittsburgh (333).
"Despite the fact we had a lot injured runners, we went out and had a very solid day," Purdue head coach Mike Poehlien said. "We beat two very competitive teams in Florida and Tennessee and overall I am very pleased with our performance."
