Box Score

The Purdue softball team fell 1-0 to Indiana on senior day at the Varsity Softball Complex. The Boilermakers (33-26, 6-10 Big Ten) will, however, advance to their second conference tournament by virtue of Michigan's 1-0 win over Michigan State on Sunday. Sixth-seeded Purdue will play against third-seeded Penn State on Thursday in Iowa City, Iowa. Game times have not been determined. The Boilermakers only previous trip to the post season was in 1997 when they went 41-25 overall and finished fourth in the Big Ten.

"We really didn't play our type of game today," coach Carol Bruggeman said. "but we're still alive and on our way to Iowa City for Big Ten's. We need to relax and enjoy our opportunities, this is why we play the regular season."
