WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - A tough weekend for the Purdue women's tennis team ended with a 7-0 loss in Evanston, as they fell to Northwestern.
The Boilermakers nabbed an 8-6 victory at the No. 1 doubles spot with Jennifer Embry and Shannon Taheny. The senior duo, currently ranked 15th in the nation, would record Purdue's only win on the day. At No. 2 singles, Lynsey Fick and Lisa Walgenbach fought hard, but lost 9-7 to Lia Jackson and Marine Piriou. In singles action, the Wildcats captured wins at every position.
Purdue will return to action on April 1 in Baton Rouge, La. when it faces the LSU Tigers at 11 a.m.
