INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Katie Douglas scored 18 points to lead No. 12 Purdue to a 48-40 win Saturday over Kentucky in the Boilermaker Blockbuster.
Camille Cooper added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Boilermakers (8-1). Erica Jackson scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds to pace Kentucky (5-3).
Purdue led 27-18 at halftime and twice led 13 points in second half. Kelly Komara scored with 4:15 remaining to give the Boilermakers a 45-32 lead.
Kentucky then went on a 8-0 run as Jackson scored four points to pull the Wildcats to within 45-40 with just under a minute remaining.
Cooper hit one free throw and Douglas hit a pair with two seconds remaining that sealed the victory.
Kentucky shot 22 percent from the field, hitting 14-of-65 shots. Purdue did not fare much better, hitting 16 of 47 for 34 percent.
