Women's Golf Tied for Seventh at Arizona Invitational

Tuscon, Ariz. - The Purdue women's golf team finished the second day of the Arizona Invitational tied for seventh place with a 36-hole score of 591, 14-over-par. Duke leads after the second day of the three-day event with a score of 572. The tournament is being held at the Randolph Park G.C (Par 72, 6,003 yards).

Senior Angela Blythe leads the Boilers with a three-under-par 73, putting her alone in fourth place. After shooting a 73 on Monday, Blythe lit up the course with a career-best 68 today. Despite being three-under-par, the Evansville, Ind., native, is six shots behind Grace Park of Arizona State, who is nine-under-par. Junior Stacy Orschell is tied for 28th with a 36-hole score of 148, while the duo of freshman Lisa Kenley and Andrea Makauskas are tied for 53rd with second-day scores of nine-over-par 153. The final Boilermaker competing is freshman Christy Rittenhouse who is tied for 61st with a 154.

Duke was led on the second day by Beth Bauer, who also fired a 68 on the second day to be in a second-place tie with Stacy Prammanasudh of Tulsa with a five-under-par 139.
