Becker came to Purdue after serving as the assistant strength & conditioning coach/professional intern at the University of Evansville. At Evansville, his responsibilities included direct oversight of the strength & conditioning programs for softball, men's and women's golf and tennis, as well as assisting with all other athletic teams.
He received a bachelor's degree in health promotion and wellness from Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a master's in exercise science from Ball State. While at Ball State, he served as a volunteer graduate assistant in the strength & conditioning department, where he was in charge of coordinating the strength & conditioning programs for women's soccer, golf and tennis, in addition to assisting with other athletic teams.
Becker has completed strength & conditioning internships at Notre Dame and Wisconsin.
He is a NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and a USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach. He also is certified in First Aid and CPR through the American Red Cross.
