WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The 2026 signing class for Purdue Football grew by one, as the Boilermakers added kicker Jacobo Echeverria Lozano during the spring signing period (Feb. 4). Echeverria Lozano joins 21 Boilermakers who signed in December, head coach Barry Odom’s first complete class in West Lafayette.
Along with Echeverria Lozano, the incoming class features 10 on the offensive side of the ball and 11 on defense.
Odom and his staff assembled the 2026 class with their full recruiting cycle since taking over the program in December of 2024. Breaking down the class, the newest Boilermakers hail from 14 states. That includes four players from the state of Indiana, as well as three from Illinois.
Looking at the class down by positions, five of the newcomers are defensive backs. The defensive line features five new Boilermakers, three on the interior and two on the edge, while four offensive linemen were added to the program. Two tight ends, two wide receivers, one linebacker, one quarterback, one running back and one kicker round out the class.
