Brittni Oliver

Brittni Oliver joined the Purdue University Athletics staff in August 2024 as a Program Development Specialist for Sport Psychology & Athlete Mental Health. Before moving to Purdue, she served as the psychoeducation and program development coordinator for sport psychology at Georgia Tech. She began her tenure there in August 2017 as the assistant director of women’s basketball operations and later transitioned into the sport psychology department in October 2021 to focus on mental health services and program development.

In her current role at Purdue, Oliver serves as the first point of contact for student-athletes seeking mental health services. She conducts initial screenings, provides non-clinical consultation strategies to enhance sport performance, manages clinician caseloads, oversees referrals to community providers, and tracks utilization of mental health services. She also develops workshops and programming to support student-athletes, coaches, and staff in areas such as team communication, resilience training, and performance enhancement strategies. As a member of the Boilermakers' Sport Psychology & Athlete Mental Health department, she regularly meets with licensed clinicians, dieticians, athletic trainers, coaches and support staff to ensure the proper mental health care is available and easily accessible to the student-athlete population.

Oliver is certified in QPR and mental health first aid and is a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). She is pursuing a Master's of Science in clinical mental health counseling from Capella University, with expected completion in September 2025.

A four-year letterwinner on the women’s basketball team at Tusculum College, Oliver contributed to three South Atlantic Conference regular season championships, two tournament championships, and an Elite 8 appearance in 2010. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in sport management from Tusculum College in 2011 and a Master's of Science in kinesiology with a concentration in sport psychology and motor behavior from the University of Tennessee in 2012.
