LEXINGTON, Ky. – Purdue Track & Field wrapped up its final meet day of the regular season with two wins and six runner-up finishes at the Jim Green Invitational

Men’s Notes
Hugh Jacobsmeyer earned Purdue’s victory on the men’s side with his 1:50.44 in the 800m. He passed multiple runners in the final 100m to earn the first victory of his collegiate career.
Seamus Malaski opened Purdue’s day with a 19.13m (62-09.25) in the shot put that finished second and moved him up to fifth in school history. The mark also raised his national ranking to top 20. He also increased his discus Purdue ranking to eighth (56.04m / 183-10) and finished sixth.
• The 5000m of Nerius White (14:08.35), Nate Assa (14:19.05) and Jason Polydoris (14:19.89) finished second through fourth. White nearly had a come-from-behind victory but was held off at the line by one hundredth of a second.
Zion Jackson won the 110mH prelims in 14.11 before he finished as the runner-up in the finals (14.18).
• The men’s 4x400m team of Zyan Green, Zach Myelenek, Jax Coleman and Kamryn Harry finished second in 3:09.49. Coleman (47.21) and Mylenek (47.37) also finished fourth and fifth in the 400m.
Elliot Ryba cleared 2.07m (6-09.50) and finished tied for the lead but lost the tiebreaker on attempts needed to clear.
Joel Gates added a sixth-place finish in the shot put (18.04m / 59-02.25) and Daniel Emmert was seventh in the 800m (1:53.71).

Women’s Notes
Blessing Gideon earned her second victory in as many days as she jumped 12.52m (41-01.00) in the triple jump. She also earned a victory on Friday in her first long jump competition of the season.
Britannie Johnson increased her No. 3 ranking in school history when she threw 16.72m (54-10.25) in the shot put to finish third. She added a third-place finish in the discus (53.35m / 175-00) and her sister Britannia Johnson followed in fourth (53.33m / 174-11).
Julia Economou (2:10.42) and Katherine Valentine (2:12.78) finished second and third in the 800m. Like White in the men’s 5000m, Economou nearly had a come-from-behind victory but was held off at the line.
Paige Hazelrigg earned a fifth-place finish in the 5000m (17:02.70) and ran a personal best by 37.33 seconds.
Jayla Cooper ran 13.87 in the 100mH prelims before running a personal best 13.84 in the final to finish seventh.
Amarianna Lofton (1.71m / 5-07.25) and Leena Pfister (1.61m / 5-03.25) finished fourth and eighth in the high jump.
Nia Wilson added a sixth-place finish in the 100m (11.69) and Taiye Ayenuro finished seventh in the 400m (55.04).
