ATHENS, Ga. – Purdue Track & Field’s second day at the Spec Towns Invitational was headlined by four performances entering the program’s top 10.

Men’s Notes
Samuel Vessat ran 20.48 in the 200m to finish second overall and ran the best wind-legal time. The performance is sixth in Purdue history and 11th in the country this season.
Seamus Malaski entered Purdue’s hammer throw rankings at No. 6 after he threw 66.54m (218-04) to finish third. He now ranks top 10 in all of his outdoor events (discus, hammer throw and shot put) through just his first two collegiate outdoor meets.
Warner Papillion wrapped up the final five events of the decathlon and totaled 6,771 points to enter Purdue’s rankings at No. 8 and finish third. His second day was highlighted by a second-place finish in the 1500m (4:46.56).
Victory Achakpoekri added an eighth-place finish in the 200m with a wind-legal 21.18.

Women’s Notes
Ashley Odiase ran a wind-legal 23.59 in the 200m to enter the program rankings at No. 8, just one spot behind teammates Marissa Palmer.
Britannie Johnson and Britannia Johnson threw 56.22m (184-05) and 55.64m (182-06), respectively, to finish fifth and sixth in the hammer throw.
