THE SCENE SETTER
• Purdue's gauntlet begins in earnest this week as it travels to No. 7-ranked Nebraska for a key Big Ten tilt in the Cornhusker state. The Boilermakers will be playing their fifth road game during their last seven games dating to Jan. 17, and face a Nebraska team that is just one-and-a-half games behind Michigan in the league standings. A win would move Purdue back into the top three in the league race.
• Purdue will end its road stretch on Saturday with a contest at a hot Iowa team, before returning home for three straight games.

THE MATCHUP
• Purdue and Nebraska will meet for the 29th time in series history on Tuesday, with the Boilermakers owning a 21-7 series advantage.
• Purdue is 3-3 in its last six trips to Pinnacle Bank Arena including an 88-72 loss in its last visit to Lincoln (Jan. 2024), when ranked No. 1 in the country.
• Purdue is just 3-2 as a ranked team when visiting Pinnacle Bank Arena, also losing 83-80 in Jan. 2017.
• Tuesday's meeting marks the first ranked matchup in the 29 meetings between the two teams.
• The magic number for Purdue appears to be 75. When the Boilermakers score 75 points against Nebraska, Purdue is 9-1 during the Painter era.
Fletcher Loyer has played well against Nebraska, averaging 20.3 points and shooting 16-of-34 (.471) from deep in four career games vs. the Huskers.
