WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Track & Field will have its first two-day meet in Indianapolis, Indiana Jan. 23-24 at the Crossroads of America Invitational.

Purdue’s distance squad is set to run its first full meet of the indoor season. The Boilermakers throwers, jumpers and select sprinters and hurdlers will also compete.

Men’s Notes
Hugh Jacobsmeyer is coming off a season-opening 1:49.80 in the 800m to rank 13th in the country. The performance is Purdue’s third sub-1:50 time in history and first since 1994.
Douglas Buckeridge is set for his second meet of the season after opening in December with the No. 5 time in Purdue history in the 5000m (14:01.12).
Seamus Malaski sits ninth in the country with the No. 5 shot put in Purdue history (19.10m / 62-08.00). He is coming off a victory in the event at the Corky Classic. Malaski has a top five finish in all four of his events so far this season between shot put and weight throw.
Zion Jackson prepares for his second meet as a Boilermaker after opening his season with a personal best 8.17 in the 60mH.

Women’s Notes
Britannie Johnson finished second in the weight throw at the Corky Classic with the No. 7 throw in Purdue history (19.68m / 64-07.00). She has finished top 10 in all four of her competitions this season between shot put and weight throw.
Caliyah Wallace will compete for the second time this season after helping Purdue’s 4x400m run the No. 10 time in school history (3:37.10) at the Corky Classic.
Katherine Valentine took the 800m victory (2:14.11) in her indoor collegiate debut last weekend at the Hoosier Horsepower Classic.
Blessing Gideon returns to action after she opener her season with a personal best 12.41m (40-08.75) in the triple jump. Her mark was just 0.07m from entering Purdue’s record book and sits seventh in the Big Ten.
