WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – For their first dual meet of the season, the Purdue Swimming & Diving teams return to the Show Me State to continue their home-and-home series with Missouri on Friday morning.

The 16-event co-ed dual at the Mizzou Aquatic Center is slated to feature the default event lineup, beginning with the 200 medley relay at 11 a.m. ET.

The Boilermakers and Tigers will compete against each other for the fourth season in a row dating back to November 2021. Purdue opened its 2022-23 campaign with a two-day, 19-event dual at the Mizzou Aquatic Center and now makes another October road trip to the heart of the Show Me State.

The Purdue women bested Missouri 160-140 last season in West Lafayette as part of their 6-0 start in dual meet action. The men's half of the meet ended in a 150-150 draw after both teams won eight events. It was the Purdue men's first tie since 1957. Sophie McAfee, Brady Samuels and Caitlin Hurley all swept a pair of individual events. Holden Higbie and McAfee went on to sweep the Big Ten's Diver of the Week awards for their performances.

Two years ago in Columbia, Abby Marcukaitis eclipsed Purdue's freshman record in the 100 backstroke, accomplishing the feat on the leadoff leg of the 400 medley relay in the final event on the opening night of the two-day meet. Abbie Kehmeier broke the record again a year later at the 2023 Purdue Invitational.

Maggie Love and Jordan Rzepka took home Big Ten Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors, respectively, after both won a pair of individual events in Columbia in 2022. Rzepka has won an event in a meet that featured Missouri each of the last three years.

Purdue alumnus and two-time Olympian Brandon Loschiavo now calls Columbia home, joining Missouri as an assistant coach in August after representing Team USA on 10-meter at the Olympic Games in Paris.

The Boilermakers' other dual meets this semester are set for Friday, Nov. 8 as the men visit Louisville and the women compete at Rutgers.
