ARDMORE, Okla. – Dornick Hills Country Club has proved once again to be one of the toughest courses on the schedule for Purdue Women's Golf. The scoring average was 74.35 on the par 70 course Saturday, as all 13 teams finished the day double digits over par to begin The Bruzzy.
Momo Sugiyama posted a pair of rounds just below the field's scoring average, firing back-to-back 74s to lead the Boilermakers. While the junior is tied for 32nd on the individual leaderboard, Purdue is 11th as a team after rounds of 297 (+17) and 296 (+16). No. 8 Arkansas (+10) holds the clubhouse lead by one shot over UTSA (+11) heading into the final round.
Jade Gu and Ashley Kozlowski shot identical scores in both rounds, starting the tournament with 75s before carding 74s in the afternoon. Kozlowski made a team-high five birdies throughout the day. Jocelyn Bruch contributed to the team score in the second round, shooting a 74 of her own.
Natasha Kiel paced Purdue in the opening round with a 73 (+3). She finished the round strong by playing her final four holes 3-under par. The stretch started with a deuce on the par-4 11th, her team-leading fourth eagle of the season. After bogeying No. 12, Kiel bounced back with back-to-back birdies on Nos. 13 and 14 to end her round.
