The Boilermakers scored 20 or more points in all four quarters but could not hold off a late run in a 93-88 loss to Penn State on Wednesday night. Caitlyn Harper led the way offensively with 29 points, her Purdue career high. Abbey Ellis added 18 points, while Madison Layden chipped in 16. Jeanae Terry posted a seven-point, 15-rebound, seven-assist outing against the Lady Lions. The Boilermakers knocked down 10 3-pointers and posted 23 second chance points off 17 offensive rebounds, both season highs.

• Sixth-year senior Caitlyn Harper announced a knee injury suffered in the fourth quarter against Penn State brought her career to a close. The Hartland, Wis., native tallied 29 points in her final game, taking her over 1,900 points for her career. Harper finished with the sixth-best field goal percentage in program history at 54.9% over the last two years.
• Purdue's freshman class heads into the final game of the regular season with the highest scoring average among Big Ten freshmen at 22.8 points per game this season and 22.9 points per league outing.
• Mary Ashley Stevenson sits second among Big Ten freshman scoring (10.4) and rebounding (4.5) in league games. The rookie from New York City is second in the Big Ten with a 91.1% free throw mark over conference play.
• Jeanae Terry heads into her homecoming game one point shy of 1,000 for her career. The Detroit native and Iowa's Caitlin Clark are the only players in the country to average over seven rebounds, six assists and one steal per game.
• Terry's 7-point, 15-rebound, 7-assist game against Penn State marked her 17th 7-7-7 performance, second most nationally to Caitlin Clark since Terry's arrival in West Lafayette in 2021-22.
• With 16 points and four 3-pointer, Madison Layden became the fifth player in Purdue history to join the 1,000-point club, as its 37th member, and make 200 3-pointer in a career. Layden ranks second in the Big Ten this season with a 42.4% 3-point mark, good for ninth in Purdue single-season history.
• After her fifth straight game with 14 or more points, Abbey Ellis is up to 13.9 points per game this season, which would be Purdue's highest scoring average in the Katie Gearlds era. The Australian's 87.1% free throw mark during her career at Purdue is second in program history.
• Sophie Swanson tallied 10.7 points over the last six games, including the three straight in double figures. Swanson is fifth in Big Ten freshman scoring with 6.9 points per league game.
• Since donning a protective face mask against Nebraska in January, Mary Ashley Stevenson has averaged 11.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game with a 55.6% shooting clip, while making 95% of her free throws.
• Purdue's seniors combined for 70 points, 29 rebounds, 18 assists, nine triples, four steals and two blocks against Penn State.
