To begin the second week of Big Ten play on Thursday night, Purdue started its east coast roadtrip with a 0-0 draw at Minnesota and Rutgers dropped a 2-1 decision to No. 4 Penn State.

Rutgers enters Sunday's matchup with a 4-4-2 record and a 4-3-0 mark at home. RU has lost two in a row to open Big Ten action, with a 3-2 defeat at Indiana on September 17 and a 2-1 loss to No. 4 Penn State on Thursday.
The Scarlet Knights have scored 15 goals with 17 assists on 140 shots, 64 on target. Rutgers has allowed nine goals on 105 shots. Individually, Allison Lowrey has netted six goals, which ranks fourth in the Big Ten. She also leads the team with 14 points and is one of six players with two assists. In goal, Olivia Bodmer has made 28 saves for a .757 save percentage and a 0.93 goals-against average.
