WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue women's basketball team will ring in 2023 on New Year's Day with a 1 p.m. tip against Wisconsin at Mackey Arena. Matt Schumacker and Christy Winters Scott will be on the call for the Big Ten Network.

LAST TIME OUT  
The Boilermakers could not battle back from a first-half deficit on the road at No. 12/10 Iowa on Thursday night, falling 83-68. The Boilermakers outpaced the Hawkeyes in the second half by six. Lasha Petree paced Purdue with 22 points. She was joined in double figures by Caitlyn Harper and Cassidy Hardin.  

NOTES  
• Purdue leads the all-time series with Wisconsin, 54-22. 
Jeanae Terry moved up to fourth in the nation in assists (98) and assists per game (7.5). The senior is one of two players in the nation with at least 10 games of five rebounds and five assists, joining Iowa's Caitlin Clark. 
Cassidy Hardin has scored in double figures in four of the last five games. The fifth-year senior leads the team with 28 3-pointers. Hardin is one triple shy of Stephanie White's 183 career 3-pointers for seventh in Purdue history.  
Lasha Petree has finished in double figures in all but one game this season. At 18.2 points per game, the fifth-year senior is seventh in scoring among first-year transfers in the six major conferences. Petree has dropped 20 points in five outings.  
• Opponents have had to rely on outside shooting this season, as the Boilermakers' post players have clogged up the inside. Purdue is holding opponents to just 26 points per game in the lane. 
• Despite back-to-back sub-40% shooting nights, Purdue still ranks 11th in the nation with a season field goal clip of 48%. 
• Transfer duo Lasha Petree and Caitlyn Harper are averaging a combined 29 points per game. 
Jeanae Terry, nearing her third career 100-assist season, has assisted on 39.4% of made field goals when she is on the court. 
Abbey Ellis is one of eight players nationally to shoot over 50% from the floor, 40% from distance and 85% at the line. (.518-.400-.854)  
• Harper is 1-of-4 players in the Big Ten averaging over 10 points per game with a shooting clip above 60% (10.8 ppg, 60.8%).
