WINDERMERE, Fla. – The Purdue men's golf team concluded its fall season with a strong performance at the Isleworth Collegiate.

WINDERMERE, Fla. – The Purdue men's golf team concluded its fall season with a strong performance at the Isleworth Collegiate.
 
The Boilermakers finished fourth among 15 teams, including seven teams ranked in the nation's top 40. Purdue recorded a 54-hole tally of 2-under par 862 (291-283-288) to finish 25 shots behind No. 3-ranked Auburn (-27), 13 shots behind No. 11 Florida (-15) and five shots behind No. 9 Illinois (-7).
 
Purdue defeated top-30 teams LSU (#28) and North Florida (#31) by seven shots, and No. 24 Arizona by 12 shots.
 
Purdue wraps up a successful fall season with a 54-20-0 (.730) head-to-head record, that features a respectable 4-6-0 record against the SEC, considered college golf's elite conference.
 
Leading the way once again was junior Herman Sekne, who finished fourth at 7-under par 209 (67-68-74). It marks his fourth top-10 finish in as many tournaments this fall. He now has 10, top-10 finishes in 21 career events and boasts finishes of ninth, sixth, second and fourth this fall.
 
His four straight top-10 finishes are the second-longest streak in school history.
 
Nels Surtani also continued his impressive play with a seventh-place finish at 5-under par 211 (72-69-70). Surtani's finish was his highest as a member of the counting team at Purdue and of his 26 career rounds played, half of them (13) have been even- or under par, the highest percentage on the team.
 
Nick Dentino finished tied for 40th at 8-over par 224 (77-72-75), while Peyton Snoeberger was tied for 44th at 10-over par 226 (81-76-69). Snoeberger turned in the fourth-lowest round of the day with a 3-under par 69.
 
Luke Prall finished tied for 52nd at 11-over par 227 (74-75-78).
 
Purdue will be off until the spring season.
