SERIES HISTORY VS. MINNESOTA
Purdue is 9-15-0 all-time against Minnesota and 4-7 in St. Paul. The Golden Gophers are one of four Big Ten teams that the Boilermakers played as a non-conference opponent in their inaugural 1998 campaign, prior to Purdue being added to the conference schedule in 1999. The series has been played every year since 1998, with the exception of 2019, and the most recent matchup was a thrilling 3-2 victory a year ago.

On October 10, 2021, a second-half scoring surge helped Purdue erase a 2-0 halftime deficit to beat Minnesota 3-2 at Folk Field. The Boilermakers trailed 2-0 after 41 minutes, but dominated a three-goal second half. The rally was started with a goal by then-sophomore Mathews in the 64th minute, and an own goal tied the match at 2-2 in the 71st. Then-senior forward Sarah Griffith completed the comeback with the game-winning goal in the 85th minute.

LAST TIME OUT: KEEPING THE GOLDEN BOOT
The Golden Boot Trophy remained with Purdue for an eighth consecutive season after a 2-2 draw at Indiana on Sunday afternoon. Dunaway scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season to give the Boilermakers a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute, before the Hoosiers got the next two, in the 36th and 38th minutes. Duarte then notched the equalizer in the 63rd minute, her second goal of the year.

In an evenly-played match on Sunday, the Boilermakers had eight shots, four on goal, while the Hoosiers registered 18 shots, seven on target. Duarte led the team with three shots and had a game-high-tying two shots on goal, as she also assisted on the opening goal to notch her first career three-point game. Mathews, whose corner kick set up both scores, had two shots and also earned an assist on the team's first goal. Freshman goalkeeper Kailey Kimball made five saves.

Purdue is unbeaten in its last eight games against Indiana, which marks the second-longest streak in the all-time series, behind a 15-game stretch for the Boilermakers from 2000-2011. Purdue is 16-4-7 all-time in the series against its in-state rivals and 5-2-4 on the road. Duarte won the Golden Boot Trophy in each of her five years as a Boilermaker, and this year's graduating seniors also retained the rivalry trophy every year they donned the Old Gold and Black.
