West Lafayette, Ind. - The No. 11 Purdue volleyball team (7-4) looks to defend the Monon Spike on Sunday, February 28. The Boilermakers are set to close out the week's series against Indiana in Holloway Gymnasium for the rights to the rivals' traveling trophy. 

Fans will be able to watch the in-state rivals battle it out on Big Ten Network at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Purdue Schedule Notes
Purdue had a loaded start to the 2021 season with three top-25 opponents in the opening four weeks (including two the No. 1 and No. 6 teams in the nation).
Currently, Purdue is riding a five-game win streak.

Monon Spike
- Purdue leads 33-12
- Purdue and Indiana will compete for the coveted traveling trophy, the Monon Spike, this Sunday in West Lafayette.
- In 2019, Purdue earned the rights to the trophy for the 12th consecutive year, after securing the victory at Indiana in five sets.

Last Time Out vs. Indiana
- Purdue led in virtually every category on Tuesday on its way to sweeping IU in Wilkinson Hall.
- The Boilermakers out-blocked Indiana 11-5 and produced a .429 hitting clip in the second set, a night-high for either team.
- Emma Terwilliger recorded a career-high four aces, with three coming in back-to-back-to-back fashion.
- Grace Cleveland led the effort with 12 kills and three errors on 18 attempts for a .500 attack %. Meanwhile, she tied for a team-high five blocks with middle blocker Jael Johnson.

Scouting No. 11 Purdue (7-4)
- Purdue is the best receiving team in the Big Ten with 0.70 opponent service aces allowed.
- The Boilermakers rank No. 5 in the league in hitting percentage (.251).
- Purdue is ranked No. 11 in the nation for the third straight week, marking the first time with three straight weeks with a No. 11 ranking or better since Sept. 1 (No. 7), Sept. 8 (No. 8) and Sept. 15 (No. 11) in 2014. The last time Purdue was ranked in the top-10 was Sept. 19, 2016.
- On the serve, Purdue has doubled the amount of aces than they've allowed, cashing in 60 aces and allowing just 29.
- Six Boilermakers are registering a .270 or higher hitting %: freshman Taylor Trammel (.389), junior Jael Johnson (.348), sophomore Maddy Chinn (.304), junior Grace Cleveland (.314) and redshirt junior Hayley Bush (.286).
- The Boilermakers tallied 32 blocks in Week Four at then-No.24 Michigan, including 17 in the first night - which ties the 2019 and 2018 season-bests. It is the most combined blocks by a Purdue team in back-to-back matches in over six seasons.
- Three Boilermakers have earned Big Ten weekly awards this season: Jael Johnson (Player of the Week, 2/1), Hayley Bush (Setter of the Week, 2/15) and Taylor Trammell (Defensive Player of the Week, 2/15).
-Two of the team's three 2019 All-Americans returned: Cleveland (third-team) and Caitlyn Newton (honorable mention). 

Scouting Indiana (2-9)
- IU split the weekends at Rutgers and at Iowa. After dropping the first, the Hoosiers picked up the second match.
- Leading the blocking effort with 38 (8 solo, 30 assisted) is Leyla Blackwell. Following closely with 31 (5 solo, 26 assisted) is Savannah Kjolhede.
- Tommi Stockham is averaging 3.82 points per game to lead the team followed by Breana Edwards with 3.14. Tommi owns a team-high 10 aces.
- Currently, Purdue is out-hitting Indiana, to .143. Additionally, IU's 
- The Hoosiers have registered more solo blocks than their opponents (23-16).
