WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue track & field team will face some of the nation's top-ranked programs at the Razorback Invitational from Jan. 31-Feb. 1, at the Randal Tyson Indoor Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The meet commences on Friday, with the heptathlon and pentathlon at 1 p.m. ET/noon CT, while field events are set to begin at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT. The lone running event for Purdue, the men's and women's 200-meter, is set for 7:25 p.m. ET/6:25 p.m. CT. On Saturday, competition is set to begin at 11:40 a.m. ET/10:40 a.m. CT. Purdue will face 12 teams at the Razorback Invitational. Along with Arkansas, the field features Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kansas State, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Stanford and Texas.
 
All 13 men's and women's teams appear in this week's national rankings, with seven top-25 women's teams and six top-25 men's squads. That includes four of the top-six women's teams and three of the top-seven men's teams in the country.
 
In the Rankings
In this week's Indoor Track & Field National Rating Index, the Boilermaker men are ranked No. 2 in the Great Lakes Region and No. 55 in the country, while the women are No. 3 in the region and No. 60 nationally.
 
Eleven Boilermakers appear in the individual event rankings, with four based on marks earned this season. Junior Jalil Brewer is No. 14 nationally in the shot put, junior Tamar Greene checks in at No. 17 in the triple jump, senior Samson Colebrooke is No. 20 in the 200-meter run and senior Rebecca Coan is No. 26 in the pentathlon.

For the Boilermakers' opponents at the Razorback Invite, the LSU men lead the way at No. 2 nationally, followed by No. 4 Texas, No. 7 Florida, No. 15 Arkansas, No. 17 Oregon, No. 24 Missouri, No. 27 Georgia, No. 29 Oklahoma, No. 30 Kansas State, No. 47 Oklahoma State, No. 53 Auburn and No. 65 Stanford. The Georgia women also are No. 2 in the country, followed by No. 3 Arkansas, No. 4 Texas, No. 6 LSU, No. 11 Florida, No. 17 Oregon, No. 19 Stanford, No. 31 Oklahoma, No. 54 Auburn, No. 55 Kansas State, No. 66 Missouri and No. 72 Oklahoma State.
 
Last Time Out: Rod McCravy Memorial
Last weekend at the Rod McCravy Memorial in Lexington, Kentucky, the Boilermakers totaled 15 personal-best marks and recorded five scores that ranked in the top-10 in team history.
 
Colebrooke, sophomores Jessica Bray and Jae'Nisa Heckstall and freshmen Kerris Roberts and Johnny Vanos all posted marks that rank among the top-10-best in school history in their events. Colebrooke led the Boilermakers with two top-four finishes, while Bray placed second overall on pole vault and Brewer was third in the shot put.

Looking Back at the 2018 Razorback Invitational
At last year's Razorback Invitational, from Jan. 25-26, Purdue broke a school record, won two events and totaled 14 top-five finishes. Jaret Carpenter and Brody Smith finished third and fifth, respectively, in the 3,000-meter event as both broke the school record, led by Carpenter's 8:00.67. Brian Faust (400-meter) was one of two event winners for the Boilermakers.
 
Up Next: Razorback Invitational
Purdue travels to in-state foe Notre Dame next weekend for the Meyo Invite, from Feb. 7-8. It is the first of two visits to Notre Dame in February, as the Boilermakers will return on Feb. 22, for the Alex Wilson Invite.
