WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The football team wrapped up its 2019 season with the 99th-annual Purdue-Kiwanis Football Banquet on Sunday. The program featured Purdue's senior class and a number of annual awards.

Bailey was named the Guy "Red" Mackey Award winner. The criteria for nomination includes a competitive spirit and a positive attitude, loyalty and self-discipline, hard work for the best interest of the team, and a willingness to help others.
The Noble E. Kizer Award, presented annually to junior or senior letterwinners with the highest level of academic achievements in their Purdue careers, was given to Sindelar and Day.
Jackson Anthrop and Holt were named the Leonard Wilson Award winners. The award is presented each year to the player or players who best exemplify the unselfish dedication of the late Leonard Wilson, a former outstanding defensive back on the team and U.S. Air Force pilot who was killed in 1967.
After hauling in eight receptions for 142 yards and two touchdowns against Indiana, Hopkins was named the "Pop" Doan award winner for the most impactful effort against the Hoosiers
Finally, the Kiwanis Citizenship Award, presented to the junior or senior member of the team who excels most in the combined roles of player, student and community leader and who, by example, reflects the objectives of Kiwanis International, was announced as offensive lineman Grant Hermanns.
Additional team awards will be announced and presented at the spring game next year.
