Complete Meet Results: Purdue Invite / House of Champions Invite
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Trent Pellini posted the nation's top time this season in the 100 breaststroke, headlining the combined 49 Boilermakers to score in an individual event at Purdue swimming & diving's fall invitational meets.
Pellini won all three of his A finals at the Purdue Invitational, sweeping the breaststroke events to go along with a victory in the 200 individual medley. His national-best time of 51.81 in the 100 breast was just .05 hundredths of a second off his program record from the 2019 Big Ten Championships. Pellini accounted for 60 points as the Boilermakers' top individual scorer. He also swam on all five of the men's scoring relays.
While the swimmers were hosting the Purdue Invite, the divers were competing in Indianapolis at IUPUI's House of Champions Invitational. The Boilermakers won three of the six diving events contested in Indy on the weekend.

Mallory Jump (60 points), Brett Riley (56), Michael Juengel (51) and Kendra Bowen (43) all scored in four individual events at the Purdue Invite to join Pellini on the list of the Boilermakers' top scorers. Jump and Riley were A finalists in all four of their events. Both demonstrated their valuable versatility, best exemplified by their excellence in the IM events. Jump (100 back, 200 IM) and Juengel (200 back) each eclipsed Purdue freshman records.
Natalie Myers, Nick Sherman and Juengel joined Pellini as A finalists in three events. Sherman finished among the top five in all three of his races.
Ryan Hrosik (19.51 in 50 free) and Pellini (1:44.79 in 200 IM) accounted for the third-fastest times in program history in their events on Thursday of the meet. Sylvia Kobylak (2:12.82 in 200 breast) and Jump (54.35 in 100 back) cracked the all-time top five for the women. Kate Beavon, Elliot Cooper, Gretta DeCoursey, Gabi Gomez Treig, Keelan Hart, Riley Kishman, Khadin Soto, Reagan Thom, Lindsay Turner, Liam Walker, Bowen, Juengel, Riley and Sherman also joined or moved up one of Purdue's all-time lists with a career-best time.
For the Purdue women, top times in 12 of the 14 individual swimming events now belong to freshmen. Bowen accounted for team season-bests in the 50, 100, 200 and 500 free.
The Boilermakers travel to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this season for their winter training trip. The teams will depart a few days after Christmas and celebrate the new year in South Florida.
