• A crucial component of Purdue's efforts, redshirt sophomore Hayley Bush guides Purdue with a team-best five double-doubles this season. The Kentucky native also leads the Boilermakers with 686 assists, while ranking third on the team with 140 digs.
• Defensively, Jena Otec paces the Boilermakers with 279 digs, averaging 4.29 digs per set. The junior has registered team-high digs in all but three matches this season, while recording at least 20 digs in five of those contests. She is followed by Marissa Hornung, who has 197 digs on the year. The sophomore most recently recorded a season-best 24 digs in Purdue's victory over Ohio State.
• After registering three aces against Northwestern, Jena Otec leads the Boilermakers with 27 service aces. As a freshman, Otec directed Purdue with 33 aces in 2017. Overall, the Missouri native owns 92 career aces. The last Boilermaker to reach 100 aces was Brooke Peters, who concluded her collegiate career with 112 (2018). Otec is 53 aces away from breaking into Purdue's top-10 career list. She would tie Jill Whiteman, who collected 145 aces from 1987-90.
SCOUTING IOWA
• Iowa opened Big Ten play with a four set win over the Northwestern Wildcats before Illinois, #7 Minnesota and #5 Penn State handed the Hawkeyes losses. In their most recent match, Iowa defeated Indiana in four sets thanks to 11 blocks from freshman Blythe Rients and 15 kills from sophomore Courtney Buzzerio.
• Iowa has four players with over 100 kills on the season with Buzzerio leading the team with 214 (2.97 K/S). Grier Hughes' 3.27 kills per set rank 14th in the Big Ten.
• Registering 40 assists in Iowa's victory over India junior Brie Orr is now fifth on Iowa's all-time career assists list. Orr surpassed Barb Zvonek (1995-98) and Nikki Dailey (2010-13) for sixth and fifth all-time with a 40-assist night. Orr is currently second the Big Ten with 732 assists in 2019 and is eighth with 10.17 assists per set.
• Iowa has dropped 13 of its last 14 matches at Holloway Gymnasium. Overall, the Boilermakers are 24-5 versus the Hawkeyes in the tenure of the matchup. Iowa's last win in Holloway came in October of 2012.
• Vicki Brown is in her first season as head coach at Iowa after being interim coach for three months. Formerly an assistant for Bond Shymansky, Brown was officially named head coach Septermber 26. Brown is the tenth head coach in the history of Iowa's volleyball program.

• Nebraska is 15-2 (7-1 Big Ten) after a 3-0 win at Maryland on Saturday night.
• Nebraska has won 45 straight matches against unranked opponents dating back to 2017.
• The Huskers have won 10 road matches in a row entering the weekend.
• Nebraska ranks fourth in the nation with an opponent hitting percentage of .137 this season.
• Nebraska has the No. 1 offensive (.294) and No. 1 defensive (.139) marks in the Big Ten during conference play.
• Lexi Sun leads the Huskers with 3.56 kills per set and is hitting .295 on the season. Sun has double-digit kills in all eight Big Ten matches.
