WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men's golf team returns to action this weekend at the Marquette Intercollegiate held at world-renowned Erin Hills outside Milwaukee, beginning Sunday and concluding Tuesday.
The Boilermakers are looking to rebound from a subpar performance in their last outing after a strong start to the campaign at the Island Resort Intercollegiate and Gopher Invitational.
The three-day, 54-hole event begins Sunday with 18 holes on the 7,515-yard, par-72 Erin Hills layout. Although there are no nationally-ranked teams in the field, there are five (of 12) squads that are receiving votes in the latest Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.

THE COURSE
One of America's premier golf courses, Erin Hills will challenge this weekend's collegiate golfers. Sculpted by glaciers, sand and small rock, the course used nature to define its layout. With fescue-lined fairways and jagged bunkers, Erin Hills is one of the most-unique layouts in the world. Most recently playing host to the U.S. Open in 2017, the course will serve as the 2025 U.S. Women's Open host and has already had a U.S. Amateur (2011) contested on its soil.

Purdue is competing in the Marquette Intercollegiate for the second time in three years, finishing T-8th in the 2017 event at 37-over par 901 (294-303-304). Texas A&M won the event at 2-over par 866. Jason Hong led the Boilermakers with a 12th-place finish at 3-over par 219.

- Joe Weiler, Junior: Named Big Ten Golfer of the Week on Sept. 11, after a T-3rd place finish at the Gopher Invitational … leads the team with a 71.33 stroke average, good for even-par on the season … has posted the team low score in five of nine rounds this season … seven of his nine rounds have been at even- or under-par … owns two rounds in the 60s already this year after having one in his first two years at Purdue.
- Nick Dentino, Freshman: Third on the team in stroke average (71.67), good for just 3-over par on the season … averaging 69.33 strokes per round in the first round this year … owns two rounds in the 60s and six rounds of even-par or better already this year … has had a counting score in all nine rounds this season … leads the team in par-4 scoring (4.04) and is second in birdies made (33).
- Andrew Farraye, Sophomore: The only player on the team with top-20 finishes in his first three events this year, Farraye is second on the team in stroke average (71.56) … owns finishes of T-15th, T-8th and T-16th this year … leads the team in birdies (35) and eagles (2) … owns two of the team's three rounds of 67 or better this year.
- Cole Bradley, Junior: Has appeared on the counting team in every event he's played in during his career … owns a 73.59 career stroke average, ranking seventh in school history in career scoring average … finished T-30th at the Island Resort Intercollegiate to start the season … leads all Purdue active players with 27 career rounds of even-par or better.
- Jason Hong, Junior: Averaging 74.17 strokes per round and has had five counting rounds in six total rounds this season … leads all active Purdue players with six career top-20 finishes and three top-10 showings … was T-32nd and T-44th in his two events so far this year.
