WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The No. 15 Purdue volleyball team opens Big Ten action on the road this weekend, visiting No. 13 Wisconsin and No. 7 Minnesota. The Boilermakers (8-1) face the Badgers (4-4) at 8 p.m. ET Friday, before challenging the Gophers with an 8 p.m. ET match on BTN on Saturday.

SERIES HISTORY
The Boilermakers are 63-101 all-time against the tournament field.
Wisconsin: 32-49 | A win over Wisconsin would be Purdue's first since Nov. 11, 2017. It would also be the first Boilermaker victory in Madison since Nov. 25, 2011.
Minnesota: 31-52 | A win over Minnesota would be Purdue's first since Nov.10, 2017. It would also mark the Boilermakers' first victory in Minnesota since Nov. 28, 1998.

- Purdue (8-1) closed out its non-conference slate with a perfect showing at the Stacey Clark Classic, where the Boilermakers defeated Texas A&M – Corpus Christi (3-0), Murray State (3-0) and Eastern Michigan (3-1). With the three wins, Purdue extends to a six-match winning streak.
- Sophomore Grace Cleveland was the go-to attacker for the Boilermakers, tallying 59 kills on the week, including a career-best 25 daggers against Eastern Michigan. The outside hitter also added 19 digs, 16 blocks and three service aces on the week. Her efforts on the court garnered her Stacey Clark MVP and Big Ten Player of the Week honors. On the season, she owns 123 kills and averages 3.51 per set with seven double-digit kill performances this season.
- Pacing a Boilermaker offense that out-hit its opponents .322 to .171 last week, redshirt sophomore Hayley Bush was recognized as the Big Ten Setter of the Week. She averaged11.13 assists per set, while also adding 28 digs, 15 errorless kills and seven assisted blocks. On Wednesday against No. 16 Kentucky, Bush recorded her third double-double of the season with 50 assists and 10 digs. The Union, Kentucky, native sustained her momentum, collecting her fourth double-double of the season with a season-best 52 assists and 10 digs against Eastern Michigan on Saturday. Bush concluded the weekend with Stacey Clark Classic all-tournament honors.
SCOUTING #13 WISCONSIN
- Wisconsin enters league play with a 4-4 non-conference showing. The Badgers defeated Florida State, North Carolina, South Carolina and Clemson, but fell to Marquette, Baylor and Washington.
- UW has played the toughest schedule in the nation according to the most recent NCAA toughest schedule report released Sept. 24. Wisconsin will play 16 matches against teams ranked or receiving votes in this week's AVCA poll during the 2019 season.
- With her 25th assist of the match against Washington on Sept. 19, junior Sydney Hilley recorded her 3,000th career assist. She became the ninth UW player to tally 3,000 career assists. The setter has 3,052 assists in her third season.
- Wisconsin is 22-15 all time in Big Ten openers, including a 14-8 record at home. The Badgers swept Ohio State, 3-0, in its home opener last season.
SCOUTING #7 MINNESOTA
- Minnesota (6-2) closed out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a pair of sweeps against Clemson and Oral Roberts at the Diet Coke Classic.
- Juniors Regan Pittman and Stephanie Samedy led the offensive charge with 18 kills each. Samedy also had 10 blocks during the two wins.
- Sophomore libero CC McGraw commanded Minnesota's back court with 31 digs in the classic.
- Overall on the weekend, the Gophers also averaged 14.17 kills per set and all 15 players saw action in the Oral Roberts win.
- Senior setter Kylie Miller leads the NCAA in assists per set at 12.08. As a team, the Gophers also lead the same category, averaging 14.48 The Gophers also lead the nation in kills per set at 15.36.
- Minnesota's only two losses this season have come against Florida State (3-0) and Texas (3-0).
