WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue track & field team is set to compete in two meets this weekend – the Louisville Invite and the Illinois Twilight (distance only). The Louisville Invite will take place Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13, while the distance group will compete Saturday.

The main meet will begin in Louisville on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. ET, while the hammer throw will occur exclusively Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET. Distance runners competing at Illinois are slated to compete beginning at 5 p.m. ET with the 3k steeplechase.

Purdue is coming off a formidable performance at the Jim Click Shootout last weekend, where Boilermakers accumulated seven marks for the record book and 29 top 3 finishes. Additionally, the men's team

Leading the way for Purdue was Samson Colebrooke, who recorded two first-place individual finishes and helped the 4x100-meter relay team to victory. With all three times among the nation's top 22, the Exuma, Bahamas, native was named B1G Men's Track Athlete of the Week.

Colebrooke's 10.19 time in the 100-meter dash checks in as the third-fastest sprinter in Boilermaker history. With Colebrooke's success, Purdue holds the most dangerous 100-meter dash roster the program has ever seen, with Colebrooke joining Waseem Williams, who holds the fastest-time in the event.

Freshmen earn their place in the record books as well, with Camille Christopher and Isaiah Martin producing top-10 marks. Christopher etched her name not once, but twice with the Jim Click Shootout 100m and 200m dash. The Noblesville, Indiana, product clocked in at 11.65 in the 100-meter dahs for no. 9 in program history, while adding No. 10 in the 200-meter with a time of 23.95. Christopher is the only women's runner to rank among Purdue's top times in both events. Fans can expect to see her run in the two events, along with the 4x100-meter relay.

Meanwhile, Martin became the first Boilermaker in over 20 years to surpass 7,000 points in a decathlon. Martin ranks No. 3 in the Purdue record book after scoring 7,450 points, accumulating five personal-bests and four first-place finishes along the way. This weekend, Martin is slated to compete in the pole vault, discus and 4x400-meter relay.
