SUNSET, S.C. -
The Purdue women's golf team slipped to 13th place after 36 holes at the Clemson Invitational, shooting eight-over par, 296, Monday at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. The Boilermakers saw all five players shoot between 73 and 75, led by junior Micaela Farah finishing one-over par, 73.

The tournament format was altered for Monday's round, placing the 18 teams in foursomes and going with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Boilermakers got off to a slow start, making six bogeys over their first three holes and struggling to find birdies the rest of the way. A weather delay further slowed play around the midpoint of the round, but Purdue managed to shave a few strokes down the stretch with six combined birdies over the last five holes.

Farah scored well on the par 3's Monday, shaving a stroke off her score on No. 16 and No. 4 and turning in the Boilermakers' top individual score for the 10th time this season. Her score of one-over par puts her at two-over 146 after 36 holes.

Senior Ida Ayu Indira Melati Putri and freshman RuQing Guan posted matching totals of two-over 74 as Putri made a pair of birdies, while Guan dropped three on the day. Putri was at three over after 10 holes, but battled back with birdies on No. 18 and No. 4 to finish her round, while Guan evened her card with a birdie on No. 10, and fought back with back-to-back birdies on No. 3 and No. 4 on her return to the front nine.

Freshman Danielle du Toit and sophomore Inez Wanamarta halved the final team score at three-over 75, both making only one birdie for the day. du Toit remains near the top of the individual leaderboard, tied for 18th place at one-under 143 for the tournament.

No. 7 Vanderbilt leads the tournament at 21-under par, shooting 11-under Monday to pull away from the field. Tennessee's Michaela Williams and Auburn's Julie McCarthy are tied for the individual lead at eight-under par.

The final round is scheduled to start Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., with the play format to be announced by Clemson this evening.
