WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue women's basketball team finally returns to the comforts of home Thursday, hosting Nebraska for an 8 p.m. ET tip at Mackey Arena live on the Big Ten Network. The Boilermakers have played four of their last five games on the road, and are ready to get back to protecting their 11-1 home record as they head into the second half of the Big Ten Conference season.

LOOKING BACK
The Boilermakers suffered a 72-58 loss at No. 17 Iowa on Sunday, marking their third loss in conference play. Purdue tied the score 47-47 late in the third quarter, but the Hawkeyes responded with a 13-2 run and stretched out the margin late in the fourth, going 6-of-6 at the free throw line. Iowa hit 52.6 percent from the field, marking Purdue's fourth opponent of the season to convert over 50 percent.

Her current mark is ahead of Purdue's single-season record, and her career 91.9 percent is the best in program history. She's also significant increased her production at the charity stripe as her 69 attempts this season have already long surpassed her 42 total attempts from her rookie year.

Oden became the 25th player in Purdue history to score 1,200 career points Sunday, passing Cathey Tyree and April Wilson on the Boilermakers' career scoring list. She is the seventh Boilermaker junior to score 1,200 points and the first since Brittany Rayburn in 2011

Despite their sub-.500 record, Nebraska owns impressive victories over Kansas, Michigan and Ohio State, and fell just short against Northwestern, Iowa and Rutgers, losing each by six points or fewer. In her third season at Nebraska, Amy Williams is one of three head coaches in the Big Ten to lead their alma mater, joining Versyp and Minnesota's Lindsay Whalen. The Cornhuskers are one of the Big Ten's top 3-point shooting teams, hitting an average of 7.3 per game, including 7.0 per game in conference play. They also rank among the Big Ten's best in assists per game (15.6) and steals per game (8.0), and lead conference play in turnover margin (+2.8). Sophomore Taylor Kissinger leads the Big Ten and ranks sixth in the NCAA in 3-point field goal percentage, converting 47.9 percent from behind the arc. Nebraska has 10 players averaging at least 10 minutes per game and eight players averaging at least seven points per game. Freshman Leigha Brown is the only Cornhusker averaging double figures at 10.1 points per game. Brown is a native of Auburn, Indiana, where she attended DeKalb High School just north of Fort Wayne. She played on the Indiana All-Stars alongside Purdue freshmen Kayana Traylor and Cassidy Hardin last summer.
