STRONG CORE, NEW FACES
The Boilermakers return four starters from their 2017-18 squad that won 20 games for the 25th time in program history and earned a postseason bid to the WNIT, but also feature seven new faces that will need to add depth to the bench. Look for immediate contributions from junior Fatou Diagne, sophomore transfer Lyndsey Whilby and freshmen Kayana Traylor and Cassidy Hardin.

IT'S GOOD TO BE NOTICED
Juniors Ae'Rianna Harris and Dominique Oden are receiving some preseason attention as the pair were named Preseason All-Big Ten, while Harris was named to the Lisa Leslie Award Watch List for the nation's top center. They are the first Purdue pair to earn preseason all-conference honors since Camille Cooper and Katie Douglas in 2000, and made the Boilermakers 1-of-2 teams in the Big Ten to have two players on both the media and coaches teams.

ALL ABOUT ASHLAND
Ashland has been one of the best teams in NCAA Division II over the past few seasons, posting a combined 104-3 mark in the last three years, including a flawless 37-0 record in 2017 and a national title. The Eagles enter their first season under head coach Kari Pickens as former Ashland head coach Robyn Fralick joined the Division I ranks this summer, taking over the reins at Bowling Green State University. Ashland returns three players who averaged double figures in 2017-18, headlined by junior Jodi Johnson at 18.7 points per game while shooting 60.7 percent from the field and 58.3 percent from 3-point range.
