West Lafayette, Ind. –  Purdue's most physical battle of the women's soccer season ended with a 1-0 loss to undefeated Nebraska at Hibner Field. With its second loss of Big Ten play, Purdue moves to a 5-3-3, 0-2-2 B1G record.

The Boilermakers were unable to recover from Nebraska's goal in the 14th minute, despite its pressure in the second half and outshooting the Huskers, 8-6.

The physicality of the game led to four yellow cards issued between the two teams, marking the most in a single game this season.  Two were handed to Boilermakers Skylurr Patrick and Grace Dunker in the second half.

Between the two teams, 22 fouls were tallied in the meeting.

Purdue's best opportunity of the day came on a chance by Kylie Hase. The shot, taken during a scrum in front the of the goal, was only saved due to a well-placed Nebraska defender on the goal line.

Patrick led the team with two shots while Hase and Hannah Mussallem each produced a shot on goal.

Six of Purdue's eight shots came in the last 45 minutes of play. Purdue proved its second-half resilience by outshooting the Huskers and holding the team to only two second-half shots.

Six freshmen started the game for Purdue, including defender Grace Walsh, who played the full 90 minutes. Walsh was joined by Katie Luce in goal and Sarah Clark in defense/midfield as the only student-athletes to remain on the pitch for the entire match.
