The lone goal of the game was credited to sophomore Kylie Hase in the 76th minute for her second game-winning goal of the season. The play was set up by freshman Aly Mielke, who chased the ball into UGA's box to break up the goalkeeper's opportunity to gain possession. On the Bulldogs' attempt to send the ball forward, Hannah Melchiorre was able to set up a cross, where Hase knocked the ball in despite a scrum in front of the goal.

Purdue made each shot count, recording four of six on goal (.667 percent). Katie Luce captured three saves, all of which came in the first half.

The opening 45 minutes proved to be all about defense as the Boilermaker back line showed its resiliency. Freshman defender Julia Ware accrued back-to-back stops on corner kicks, interrupting each with a definitive header out of danger.

Luce produced a stop on one of Georgia's most dangerous opportunities of the game. In the 39th minute, the sophomore came off her line and cut off the angle on a quickly approaching Bulldog.

In the second half, Grace Walsh generated a key pass breakup as Georgia was attempting to cut the defense and slide behind the line for a shot. Then, just minutes after, Georgia attempted a shot, but Walsh's positioning enabled her to block the shot and end the UGA opportunity.

Sarah Clark notched one of Purdue's best opportunities on a rocket that hit off the right post in the 70th minute.

Skylurr Patrick led the team with two shots, including one on goal. Seven Boilermakers played the full 90 minutes – Clark, Duarte, Luce, Mussallem, Patrick, Walsh and Ware.
