SUNSET, S.C. - The Purdue women's golf team wrapped up a seventh-place performance at the 2018 Clemson Invitational on Sunday, shooting five-over par, 293, to finish five-over par as a team over the 54-hole event at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. Senior Marta Martin completed her best individual tournament of her career, finishing five-under par, 211, to tie for 10th place, including a final-round, two-under par, 70.

Martin played all three rounds of the tournament under par, matching the 17th-best 54-hole score in program history. Sunday was a near-flawless 18 holes for the Boilermaker senior, making a lone bogey of the day on No. 4 before sinking three birdies in a four-hole stretch on the back nine. She dropped the first birdie on No. 11 to get her scorecard back to even, and followed with back-to-back birdies on No. 13 and No. 14 before finishing with four straight pars. Her total is 1-of-5 Purdue 54-hole tournaments at par or better this season, including junior teammate Ida Ayu Indira Melati Putri's final score of even-par, 216, Sunday.

Putri stumbled in the third and final tournament round, shooting four-over par, 76, and just missed a top-20 individual showing, tying for 21st at Clemson. It's her second 54-hole tournament score of par or better this season.

Freshman Inez Wanamarta and sophomore Micaela Farah registered the final two team scores of the day Sunday, as Wanamarta was even par, while Farah shot three-over par, 75. Wanamarta dropped three birdies in her final 18, finishing four-over par, 220, for the tournament, while Farah made two on the back nine and finished seven-over, 223, for 54 holes.

Furman wrapped up a dominating performance at the top of the team leaderboard, shooting four-under par, 284, Sunday to finish 30-under par, 834, for the tournament. Michigan State was second at 20-under par, and tournament-host Clemson was third at 18-under par. Clemson's Alice Hewson claimed medalist honors at 10-under par, 206, shooting a scorching final round of five-under par, 67, to slide past Michigan State's Allyson Geer and Furman's Natalie Srinivasan.

The Boilermakers are off next weekend, and return to action April 8 at the Silverado Showdown in Napa, California.
