WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue women's golf team looks to keep its standout play rolling, set to play at the Clemson Invitational for the first time. The Tigers will host the event at The Reserve at Lake Keowee on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Sophomore Micaela Farah has surged over the last three events for the Old Gold & Black, posting the team-low score in two of the last three tournaments, and four of the last seven individual rounds. She tied for second at The Dickson, playing a career-low round of three-under par, 69, at the rain-shortened event, and placed seventh at the 3M Augusta Invitational with a career-low, 54-hole score of two-under par, 214. Farah has scored inside the individual top 20 in four of her last five events, dating to the Landfall Tradition in the fall.
THE FIELD
The Clemson Invitational hosts a 15-team field over the weekend, featuring several of the nation's top programs and four other Big Ten Conference rivals. Furman, Michigan State and Oklahoma boast the top rankings in the field, while Purdue, Florida State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin all hold spots in the top 50 to round out a highly-competitive group of teams.

THE COURSE: The Reserve at Lake Keowee
The Reserve at Lake Keowee is set to play par-72, 6,260 yards this weekend and has proven an outstanding course over the first two editions of the Clemson Invitational. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the course is one of the most popular in South Carolina, and has played host to the Tigers' event in each of the last two springs.
AT THIS EVENT
The Boilermakers make their first-ever appearance at the Clemson Invitational. The first two editions of the event have been won by Florida (2016) and Florida State (2017), with the Seminoles shooting a winning score of 10-under par, 854, last season. The individual medalist in each season posted outstanding scores as Michigan State's Katie Sharp won in 2016 at eight-under 208, and Florida State's Matilda Castren won last year at nine-under 207.
