WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The 25th-ranked Purdue women's golf squad continues its spring season Monday, heading to the University of Houston for The Dickson. The Boilermakers will play in the event for the second straight season, heading back to The Woodlands Country Club after a seventh-place showing in the inaugural tournament last year.
THE FIELD
The Dickson features a 16-team field, highlighted by eight top-50 squads next week. The tournament-host Cougars are one of four teams with a top-25 ranking, led by Kent State, Iowa State and the Boilermakers, who carry a No. 25 nod from GolfStat.com. Florida State, Texas A&M, Clemson and Texas Tech round out the list of top-50 squads in the field.

THE COURSE: The Woodlands Country Club
The Woodlands Country Club Tournament Course will play host to this week's action, playing 6,392 yards, par 72. Designed by Robert von Hagge, the Tournament Course is the annual home of The Insperity Invitational on the PGA Champions Tour.
AT THIS EVENT
The Boilermakers settled for a seventh-place effort in the inaugural edition of The Dickson, shooting 16-over par, 880. Purdue got off to a hot start, shooting six-under 282 in the opening round behind three scores under par from August Kim, Marta Martin and Micaela Farah. It tied the eighth-lowest team round in program history and the best for the Boilermakers over the last seven seasons. Cova SanJuan was the Boilermakers' top finisher at two-over 218, while Farah joined in her the top-20 at three-over 219.

- Farah is third on the team with 24 birdies and second with 127 pars
- Junior Ida Ayu Indira Melati Putri posted a career-best round of four-under 68 at the Minnesota Invitational
- Putri finished in the top-15 of the individual standings in each of her first two tournaments of the season, tying for 12th to lead the team at the Windy City Collegiate Classic
- Putri's has made a team-best 29 birdies on the season, followed by Wanamarta with 26, and the pair are tied for the most low-rounds on the season with three each
- Sophomore Cova SanJuan returns to the lineup after sitting out the Puerto Rico Tournament to open the spring
- SanJuan has led the Boilermakers in two individual rounds this season and had the squad's top individual showing at the Landfall Tradition to close the fall
- The Boilermakers were under par as a team in all three rounds at Minnesota en route to the third-lowest 54-hole team score in program history: 283-285-286=854 (-10)
- Farah and senior Marta Martin were all named to the Big Ten Conference Players to Watch list, published Aug. 30
- Farah was the sixth freshman in program history to earn First Team All-Big Ten honors
