COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Purdue women's golf team finished the second day of the NCAA Columbus Regional in sixth place, shooting 17-over par, 305, at the Scarlet Course at the Ohio State Golf Club on Tuesday. Senior August Kim turned in the best round of the day for the Boilermakers, while junior Marta Martin remains the highest Boilermaker on the individual leaderboard.

Kim did a solid job managing the course in the second round, dropping pars on 14-of-18 holes to finish one-over par, 73. She sunk birdies on No. 8 and No. 10, and gave strokes back with a bogey on No. 9 and a double bogey on No. 6. Her back-nine was flawless, making eight straight pars to finish the round after her birdie on the 10th hole and she enters the final round tied for 12th place individually, sitting four-over par for the tournament.

Martin finished four-over par, 76, Tuesday to move to two-over par for the tournament and is tied for fourth place. She dropped a birdie on No. 16 to give a lift to the end of her round, and tied sophomore Ida Ayu Indira Melati Putri for the Boilermakers' second-best score of the day. Putri made birdies on No. 5 and No. 18. Sophomore Covadonga SanJuan posted the fourth and final team score for the Boilers at eight-over par, 80, while freshman Micaela Farah was unable to post a team score for the first time in her collegiate career, finishing nine-over par, 81.

Florida continues to own the overall team lead at 14-over par, 590, after shooting a second-round five-over, 293, while the eighth-seeded host Buckeyes are one stroke back posting a score of one-over par, 289, Tuesday. Florida State and South Carolina are third and fourth, respectively, while Michigan is two strokes ahead of the Boilermakers in fifth place. Texas A&M's Maddie Szeryk owns the individual lead and is the only player in the field under par at one-under par, 143, after shooting a two-under, 70, Tuesday.

The Boilermakers start the third and final day tomorrow at 8:24 a.m. ET, paired with Michigan and South Carolina. The top six teams at the Columbus Regional advance to the NCAA Championships, set to begin May 19, at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois.
