HONOLULU, Hawaii - Purdue (10-19) falls to Harvard (8-7) 7-3 as the Boilermakers commit six errors which result in the second straight loss during the Rainbow Wahine Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii.

For the second time of the weekend the Boilermakers and Crimson faced off in Hawaii but this time the result did not repeat in favor for Purdue. The Boilermakers gave too many outs away to Harvard the second time around and the Crimson took advantage scoring three runs in the second, two in the fifth and two in sixth innings.

Katie Johnson (1-7) started in the circle for Purdue but did not see much success against the Harvard lineup as she was replaced by Kaitlynn Moody after lasting 1.1 innings giving up three runs. Moody was able to limit the damage in her relief appearance as she lasted 1.2 innings allowing just one hit, two runs and walked two batters. Maddie Damon provided the longest relief effort as she finished the game throwing 4.0 innings allowing only one hit as well and one run.

Purdue's best opportunity for a rally came in the sixth inning as the Boilermakers loaded up the bases for Stephanie Ramsey. Ramsey sent a shot up the middle with two outs scoring Alexa Binckes moving the score to 7-2 but the rally was cut short as Maya Hughes flied out the center filed ending the inning with the bases still loaded.

The Boilermakers would add a run in the seventh off a Kaylah Hampton RBI single up the middle that scored Mallory Baker but much like in the sixth inning the threat was neutralized and the Boilermakers stranded two runners to end the game.

Hampton led the way for the Boilermakers going 2-4 with an RBI and Mallory Baker was 1-3 and scored two runs as she continues to provide a spark in the middle of the Boilermaker lineup.

Purdue returns for two more games tomorrow as they look to defeat Marist for the second time in the tournament at 4 p.m. and they are also looking for revenge against Hawaii after losing 2-1 on Thursday.
