WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Boilermakers will wrap up preseason camp with a scrimmage against program alumnae at 6 p.m. Saturday. Ten former players are expected to return to Belin Court to take on the current Purdue squad.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will mark the first competition on the newly laid and redesigned Belin Court.
The 2016 Boilermaker roster features seven returning players, two redshirted players, one transfer and three freshmen. The squad will begin its season Aug. 26-27, when it plays host to Wyoming, Washington and Kentucky at the Mortar Board Premier on Belin Court.
The alumnae roster includes four All-Americans: setter Jaclyn (Hart) Groves, middle blockers KiKi Jones and Stephanie (Lynch) Harpeneau and outside hitter Annie Drews. Two-time honorable mention All-Big Ten selection at libero Carly Cramer also will be on the court for the alums.
Michelle (Erickson) Hayes, who served up 103 aces from 1984-87, is the most veteran of the group, while Drews and fellow 2015 alums Kaisley Fisher, are the most recent graduates.
